UAE : ESMOD helping out runway Intl models for Dubai Fashion

French Fashion University Esmod, the world-renowned fashion institution, has been creating last-minute touches to complement the latest collections of top-notch international fashion designers who are participating at the Dubai Fashion 2008 closing(Feb 12th).

The 25 innovative students of French Fashion University ESMOD are set to dazzle the visitors of Dubai Shopping Festival by assisting in outfitting the stunning international models with the marvelous and exceptional collection of Nina Ricci, Stephane Rolland, Barbara Bui, Frank Sorbier, Christian Lacroix, Stella Cadente (who had visited the university’s campus earlier to meet up-close and personal with its students) and many other fashion designers, providing them a global platform to meet with industry professionals to discuss and identify new strategies for the regional fashion world.

Organized by the Dubai Shopping Festival under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Fashion is hosted at The Madinat Jumeirah from February 10 to 12.

Dubai Fashion is a three-day extravaganza and is praised to be one of the highlights of Dubai Shopping Festival 2008. The aim is to elevate the city’s fashion quotient and reach a mark where Dubai is named the youngest entrant on the list of fashion capitals of the world.

Tamara Hostal, Director,French Fashion University Esmod said: “Our university is creating an additional opportunity for the emerging talents to promote and highlight designers from the region & beyond and to create awareness among the ultimate consumers of fashion; before they start to devote their energy to the upcoming Dubai Fashion Week in March”.

Besides the fashion shows, FFU ESMOD also highlights the start of its trendy programs in February featuring the Trend forecasting master class, which educates students on how to improve their fashion forecasting ability through a combination of research, analysis and presentation; and Merchandising training session, where the audience gets the key of the best merchandising retail solutions necessary to perk up the sales of their business.
