Simon Cowell's mum says his love for Mezhgan Hussainy
has 'completely turned around' her son.....

Simon Cowell’s mother Julie has been speaking about her joy for her son’s new found love with Afghanistan-born make-up artist Mezhgan Hussainy.
Speaking from her Brightonhome, she said: "I knew it was serious when Simon said he had something important to tell me" reveals Julie, 84. "I asked if it was good or bad and he replies, ‘That depends which way you look at it.’ ‘Just tell me,’ I said. He explained that he had asked Mezhgan to move in with him. Although girlfriends had stayed with him in the past, he had never done that before. This seems to make it official."
"What baffled me most was the complete turnaround in my son," she continues. "He has always insisted, ‘I’m fine as I am, mother. I’m not going to get committed to a marriage and I certainly don’t want children.’ I used to reply, ‘You don’t know, you’ve never had them.’"

On her potential new daughter-in-law, Julie remarks "Mezhgan is absolutely lovely. She’s very pretty with a gorgeous figure, too. I’ve met her before, of course, at Simon’s shows, but only recently did I spend time with her as Simon’s new girlfriend."

LOS ANGELES Reuters.....2009

The low-rated shows "30 Rock" and "Mad Men" shared
the spotlight at the Emmy Awards for a second year
on Sunday, but most of their stars were snubbed as
the acting awards went to repeat winners
or surprise choices.

Tina Fey, the creator and star of NBC's "30 Rock,"
failed to defend her best comic actress title.
She lost to Australia's Toni Collette, who plays
a woman with multiple personalities in Showtime's
"United States of Tara."

Fey's co-star, Alec Baldwin, was the only one of
13 nominees from either "30 Rock" or "Mad Men"
to win an acting prize, in his case for playing
a bumbling network TV boss.

Still, "30 Rock" was named best comedy for a third
year, and "Mad Men" best drama for a second.
Both prizes were announced at the end of the
three-hour ceremony.

"Phew! That was a nail-biter," said Fey, accepting
the big prize for "30 Rock," which won just five
of the leading 22 Emmys for which the cult
favorite had been nominated.

"Mad Men," whose audience is about 2 million on
the niche cable channel AMC, won just three of
the 16 Emmys for which it had been nominated.
Last year, the period saga made history by
becoming the first series from a cable network
other than HBO to win the Emmy for best drama.

"I may be the only person in the room with complete
creative freedom. That's why the show is so good,
" said "Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner,
who shared the Emmy with Kater Gordon
for best drama writing.

Most Populer Actor Henry Gibson dies at 73

LOS ANGELES–Henry Gibson, the veteran comic character actor
best known for his role reciting offbeat poetry on "Rowan
& Martin's Laugh-In," has died. He was 73.

Gibson's son, James, said Gibson died Monday at his home in
Malibu after a brief battle with cancer.
After serving in the Air Force and studying at the Royal
Academy of Dramatic Arts, Gibson — born James Bateman in
Germantown, Pa., in 1935 — created his Henry Gibson comic
persona, a pun on playwright Henrik Ibsen's name,
while working as a theater actor in New York.
For three seasons on "Laugh-In," he delivered satirical
poems while gripping a giant flower.
After "Laugh-In," Gibson went on to appear in several films,
including "The Long Goodbye" and "Nashville,
" which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. His most memorable
roles included playing the menacing neighbor opposite Tom Hanks in
"The 'Burbs," the befuddled priest in "Wedding Crashers"
and voicing Wilbur the Pig in the animated
His recent work included playing cantankerous Judge
Clarence Brown on ABC's "Boston Legal" for five seasons and
providing the voice of sardonic, eye-patched reporter Bob Jenkins
on Fox's "King of the Hill." In 2001, Gibson returned to the stage
in New York in the Encores! New York City Center production of Rogers
and Hart's "A Connecticut Yankee."

Patrick Swayze of Remembers Jennifer Grey

“Dirty Dancing,” Back in 1987......Celebrity Gossip
Grey, who played Frances “Baby” Houseman, remembered Swayze,
who died Monday at age 57 after a battle with pancreatic cancer,
by saying, “When I think of him, I think of being in his arms when
we were kids, dancing, practicing the lift in the freezing lake,
having a blast doing this tiny little movie we thought no one
would ever see.”
Miss Grey added that Swayze was a “real cowboy with a tender heart,”
who loved danger and did his own stunts that “it was not surprising
to me that the war he waged on his cancer was so courageous and dignified.”

She added, “Patrick was a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity
and amazing grace. My heart goes out to his wife and childhood sweetheart,
Lisa Niemi, to hi mom, Patsy, and the rest of their family.”

Meanwhile, choreographer from the hit Dirty Dancing, Kenny Ortega,
made a statement, saying, “Patrick was a great human being who I
knew as a loving son, husband, brother and friend. He was one of
the most creative, enjoyable and alive people I knew. He did as
much for dancing as any man of our generation.”

Adding on to the devoted star, he says, “Patrick loved life,
and had such an enthusiasm for everything he did. If he could
climb it, he climbed it. If he could write it, he wrote it.
If he could dance it, well, we all know he did. He lived.
Patrick Swayze was a loving and soulful man. The planet has
lost a big heart. And I, a forever friend. My loving thoughts
to Lisa, Patsy and his entire family.”
