Claire Danes wins an Emmy as well as a Best Dressed nod
Angela Chase has come a long way indeed. It might be hard for fans of My So-Called Life to come to grips with the poised, elegant young woman who Claire Danes has turned into since her debut as a surly, plaid-wearing teenager, but at the 2010 Emmy Awards last night, it was hard to ignore.
Sparkling in champagne-colored Armani PrivĂ©, Danes had one of the biggest nights of her career, winning an Emmy for her starring role in Temple Grandin. She couldn’t have picked a more perfect ensemble in which to do it – the column dress fit her expertly and turned more than a few heads. It also probably convinced a couple of people that it’s possible to be glitzy without being gaudy – as long as the person dressing you is Giorgio Armani, that is.
